Society Profile

The Society started out as a small group of military physicians, brought together in 1952 as a ways to maintain camaraderie with our fellow Otolaryngologists. Since then we have grown to a national level with some members internationally, and now include other constituents associated with our profession: residents, nurses, audiologists, speech therapists, technicians, and corporate sponsors. We are a non-profit organization administered by a board of directors, elected from our membership that serve a four-year term.

We also have a member appointed to the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation that acts as our liaison in keeping us abreast of changes within our field.
